Nearly Ready to Motorhome in 2018

The bed conversion kit has arrived from Auto-Trail (Spinney). They have also sent a grill for the vent under the bed. I think we are now nearly ready for the 2018 season.

But first we have a Habitation Service and the van has got to go to North East Trucks for two engine recalls to be fixed and on the way home I need to fill the onboard gasit system.

Getting ready for 2018

We used Iona over Christmas when we stayed at our son’s. Iona became the extra bedroom. We used a bit of gas and we have started the second bottle, so a trip to the garage to top it up will be a job before we go on our first trip to Fakenham Race Course. The camping and caravan club are holding a temporary holiday site with electric so we have booked a pitch.

Iona has been taxed and insured for this year. We don’t need to have her serviced but a Habitation Service is required. This is booked for January and on top of that, our engine is part of a recall to change a part that can split. We have just got it booked in at a Fiat commercial garage for February.

Our plans for this year are taking shape with 20 venues chosen so far. This will take us to Norfolk, Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. We have tried to pick new sites but we are also visiting a few previous sites where there are still areas to explore.
